She didn't know why she was here, other than she was here. All she had done was let her thoughts and feet wander. Her last thought, before realizing where she was, was a memory. A memory of an elf. A memory of this location and him. It was of the time he had burnt her. Probably had been trying to strike fear into her. But it only made her more determined to know him. And maybe that proved it's self at Owl's castle. When he stayed there and she stayed with her father there. They had shared a kiss.
She shook her head. She couldn't think of that. Not when she shouldn't even be in the stupid forest. She needed to be in town, finding a job. But this seemed to be a habit of hers. Wandering around, lost in thought. She stared at the bracelet around her wrist. It was a gift, but not from the elf she had been thinking of. This had been from an elf. A friend she cherished. A friend she loved. She gingerly touched the other gift she had around her neck. A necklace from the elf she had been thinking of.
She stopped walking. Something seemed off. Not in a bad way, but in the way that said some one was following her. Someone she should have been afraid of. Now and every time she encountered them before. She shook her head and let her arms fall to her sides.
"Moredhel. I will never lose my touch forever." she said, looking over her shoulder to see if her guess was right.

“Except you have.” A female voice replied with a faint trace of amusement even though it had the sound of a sneer. The owner of the voice was an elf who sat perched in one of the dead trees. She wore dark tattered clothes and had her long blonde hair tied back into a braid. Her blue eyes pierced into the gaze of the elf below. “Pelipa Usagi.” She grinned at her “What on earth are you doing here?” Jumping down she landed in a few feet behind her. She had her hands out in a gesture that could have been friendly if there hadn’t been lightning darting between her fingers. “Looking for Moredhel?” she question and looked at the necklace around Pelipa’s neck in disgust. “Because he isn’t here. In fact he is avoiding you.” She stood up from her crouch crossing her arms. “So get lost before I decide that we should have some electrifying fun.”

Pelipa made a slight face when she recognized the voice. Luna. Of all the people in the world, why her? She turned to face the other elf. "Am I not allowed to be here? Do I have to be looking for Moredhel in my spare time? Can I not assume who might be behind me?" Her voice was near mocking. All thoughts and memories were now gone. Her stare was focused on the lightning, but she didn't show fear or caution. Sure, inside everything was telling her to be afraid, but that took the fun out of it. "We are in a forest. You know, full of plants and trees and other nature type things. Things I like. My source of power. So. Don't try to tell me to leave." she said, her voice full of stubbornness and recklessness.

Luna watched her with a steely gaze. "Am I not allowed to be here? Do I have to be looking for Moredhel in my spare time? Can I not assume who might be behind me?" Luna raised an eyebrow at the string of questions. “Actually no you cant be here. And you DO look for him in your spare time. Stalker. And you can but you are very bad at guessing and way too predictable.” She watched Pelipa as she seemed to get more annoyed and bold. This was going to be a bad combination for this elf. Luna knew exactly what to do. "We are in a forest. You know, full of plants and trees and other nature type things. Things I like. My source of power. So. Don't try to tell me to leave." Pelipa challenged all of her stubbornness and recklessness in her voice. Laughing Luna walked towards her. “Oh but you forget. These trees don’t grow. These trees don’t follow nature. They follow darkness. And plus lightning defeats wood” she grinned and grabbed the other girls arm shocking her.
[Pelipa | Arm | Lightning] [+5 = 80 | Severely Shocked] Luna watched as the electrical current ran through the girl a smirk on her face. “Still want to continue on your high horse Pelipa? Or do you need another scar on your arm as a reminder?”

[Hp - 320 :: Last Wound Received - Severely shocked]
Lightning defeats wood. The pain surged through her body. She bit her tongue in attempt to not let the pain show in any manner. It only kept her face somewhat straight and barely managed to muffle a scream. She stumbled backwards slightly in attempt to escape Luna's grasp. All she could see was the pain and the victorious smirk on the other elf's face. She refused to seem weak in front of Luna anymore. She knew standing up against her was suicide, but it wasn't in her personality to back off today. She grabbed a concealed throwing knife and stabbed at the arm that was connected to the hand holding her own arm captive.
[Luna :: Arm :: Knife]
[-10 = 13 :: Shallow cut]
She knew she was bad with her left, but not that bad. Right? "Let me go." she hissed under breath.

[387 HP]
Luna could see the pain in the other girl’s eyes and her smirk grew. She really hated this elf. She wasn’t entirely sure what had started it, but any form of pain or embarrassment amused her. But there was also an odd look in Pelipa’s eyes as she straightened. A determined look. And suddenly with her left hand she elf had struck out at Luna’s arm. A shallow cut was the result of the counter attack. Luna tightened her grip more and started to laugh. “Really? Really? That’s the best you got?” she exclaimed and looked at the girl with a cold icy look in her blue gaze. “Now the real fun starts.” She grinned and put her other hand on Pelipa. Shocking her with both.

Luna watched giddily as Pelipa fell to her knees in pain screaming. She let go of the girl’s arm then jumped back as flames went around Pelipa.
Moredhel stood a little further back into the trees. He had stood there watching quietly a blank emotionless look on his face. “Pelipa, haven’t you learned not to come here alone?” he asked in a quiet tone as he walked toward them. As of now the fire did not burn Pelipa and his eyes softened as he watched her pain. “You have to learn. You cannot be stubborn with people who will best you.” He told her and let his eyes grow cold. “Let this be a lesson.” He commented and let the fire flare up her left arm to leave a new mark with his old one.

[45 :: Severely shocked and 2nd degree burn]
Pelipa would have never lasted. She knew that from the first shock, but she was too stubborn to admit it. But Luna's attacks were hard to bare by themselves. Together they were past unbearable. She collapsed, the air was gone from her lungs. The wind started to pick up; slowly but surely. There was an ear piercing noise. Something that might have come from an animal if she hadn't felt the scream rip at her throat. She couldn't tell if her eyes were open or not because the pain overwhelmed her senses and left her blind. Lightning isn't the only thing that defeats wood. she thought, scared as she felt the presence of fire. Moredhel. She recognized his voice immediately. His voice was caring. Or at least soft. Suddenly it went cold and the fire jumped for her uninjured arm. She shrank away from it as quick as she could. The wind started to pick up on her fear and pain and increased it's intensity. The air was starting to return to her lungs, but it wasn't enough to calm the fire in her throat.

Luna grinned at Pelipa’s fear and pain. Somehow it was very satisfying to watch. So satisfying it made her laugh. “Told you to not mess with us” she said triumphantly. “You will never learn and you’ll never best us. All you’ll ever do is play with plants” she sneered crossing her arms and watching the pathetic sight in front of her. Pelipa was so weak. Maybe it was because of her powers element. Maybe it was because she wasn’t trained. Maybe it was just in the girl’s nature. Whatever it was Luna didn’t really care. She had always been the higher than thou type but that wasn’t really her fault. It was how she had been raised. But she also knew pity. She just ignored it now. Pretended she never knew its meaning. Plus this girl just irritated her in so many ways. Her stubbornness, her stupidness, her attraction to Moredhel, his attraction to her. It made her skin crawl. And now watching her wither made her happy.
Moredhel watched with emotionless eyes as Pelipa tried to shrink away. He could tell from the way the fire burned and was now going out it would leave a second degree burn. Watching her like this oddly enough didn’t bring him joy. He thought it might have, and maybe at some point in the past it had, but now it just seemed pathetic. Luna was grinning as if she had won some sort of prize. She was elated by Pelipa’s state. It had made her laugh. Moredhel glared slightly. “Enough.” He muttered and pushed Luna back. “Go do something useful” he snapped slightly not taking his eyes of Pelipa. In return he got a glare but he glaced at Luna as she stalked off. With a shake of his head Moredhel went over to Pelipa and gently picked her up into his arms. “When will you learn” he asked in a dark muttering tone. Holding her with surprising gentleness he walked off through the maze of forest.

Hearing Luna's mocking, she wanted so desperately to fight back. Say something to help her damaged pride. Anything. But she knew it was all stupid. Suicidal. For Pete's sake, she was blind with pain. To do anything was stupid enough for her to lose interest in doing it. Luna's laugh sounded through her ears and probably hurt her pride more then Luna's attacks hurt her physically. She relaxed some as she heard footsteps leaving. Luna hopefully. Now she felt the toll of the injuries. So much pain, so much lost will, so close to death. Footsteps approached and she tensed some again, fear of the unknown person. She gasped as the hard ground became nothing but thin air and the touch was gentle. It was Moredhel. He could have been heard as caring with his question but his tone was dark. Yet he seemed so gentle to the near dead elf. Maybe he did care. "Who knows..." she said in reply. Her voice was quiet and weak. She probably sounded pretty pathetic.

Moredhel barely heard her reply. Her voice was as thin as the air she controlled. He knew she didn’t have much time left. In fact he was afraid that she would die in his arms. He didn’t fear death, he had seen people die. But it would be most unfortunate to have this particular elf die in his arms. He would never be able to live it down with her kin….. And maybe himself as well. “Just don’t close your eyes” he mumbled to her and kept walking. He seemed to hold her closer but he himself never noticed. After a while of twist and turns in the path he was following he ended up at a castle. The Reaper’s Castle as it was called even though the Reaper had been dead for years. Now only an old friend of Pelipa’s lived there. He stood there at the gate and watched the figure approach. Lifting his chin slightly he met her gaze “She is in need of assistance. If not then she will be one of your charges. Either way she is here.” He told her in an emotionless voice.

Just don't close your eyes. If it was just that easy. She suddenly felt closer to him. Either he had moved her closer or it was because she was clinging onto him about as hard as she was clinging onto life. "Moredhel..." she whispered so low that she could barely hear herself. "Don't leave me..." Her eye lids started to feel heavy and all she wanted to do was close them. Just don't close your eyes. She barely managed to hold them half way open. She heard voices then her world was dark.
"How dare you come here! If you truly cared about her you would go somewhere the dead aren't! And she isn't ready to be here. Get! Shoo!" the blonde angel yelled, barely letting him finish his little speech. Even before finishing her own, she smacked him across the face. She didn't really want to chase them off, but she felt there was no other way.
"Desdemona. The girl is nearly dead." a girl with raven hair walked up behind Moredhel. "Let me look at her. It's got to be easier then raising the dead."

Moredhel barely felt the slap. It didn’t bother him nor move him. He had thought he had heard Pelipa say something but he could not be sure. All he did was roll his eyes at the Angel. “Get off your high horse Owl.” He snorted at her. Sure he got on a high horse every so often but it was in his nature. She was only playing at it. He could tell. She wasn’t very good at it. He had seen too many high horse types. He looked as the other Angel walked up and gently gave her Pelipa. He then returned his gaze to Owl. “And while we are arguing why don’t we tackle the subject of this petty isolation you’ve come to.” He watched her icily. “It’s the stupidest thing I have ever seen you do.”

Owl glared at him with anger and fluster. "Petty?! Stupid?!" she growled. Her black wings reflecting her mood. "There is no reason the dead and living should mingle. It will lead to the end of everything we know and understand. It will destroy the world around us." Her voice implying she knew something but was unlikely to share. The angel took a step back toward he gates and never once dropped her glare. "And when have you cared what I do."
The second angel had taken Pelipa from Moredhel quickly but gently. She laid her on the ground and touched her forehead then her various wounds. Light blue light was the only thing between the two creatures as the magic happened and the wounds slowly disappeared.

Moredhel gave her a mocking look. “The Dead? Owl last I check honey you aren’t dead. You got blood in your veins; your breathing and you can be killed. You’re alive. So your point is invalid.” He took a step in her direction not caring how angry he made her. “You cant just run away like a child.” He told her in an almost scolding tone. “And I care when it starts impacting me and trust me it has” he continued his temper flaring. “So grow up, your how old again? Act your age. Not like some bratty ten year old. That’s Luna’s job.”

"Yes, the dead." the angel of death hissed. "I bring death. I am death these days." She took another step, knowing it would be a couple more steps before she could slam the gates closed and keep herself locked away from the world. "I am acting my age. I should be dead!" she said, hoping he would give up. "And this should not be impacting you." Another step was taken backwards.
The other angel stood up and watched her sister and the elf with interest. She stayed in a crouching position with a smile playing at her lips. She was waiting for the two - or at least one of them - to notice her accomplishment. Their argument seemed petty and irrelevant to her, but then again no one really knew her and she did not care for the relationships around her.

“Oh you bring Death” he said sarcastically. “That changes everything. That’s old news. Like way old.” Moredhel informed her and quickened his pace so that he was directly in front of her only inches away. “You not acting your age. You were acting your age and then you went and started acting like a child.” He met her gaze coldly his face only inches from hers. “Go ahead. Close the gate Owl. It won’t change the facts. It wont change who you are or who your friends are. It doesn’t impact me? Do you think I’m deaf? Complain and worry, complain and worry. I can’t get within ten miles of town without hearing it and I am sick of it.” He grabbed her wrist knowing that at least physically he was the stronger of the two. “Closing the Gate, closing out your friends it doesn’t work. I went down that road for ten thousand years” his grip tightened. “Now I don’t like you and I don’t like them and if I didn’t have to listen to it, if I didn’t have her,” tilts his head towards Pelipa “I personally wouldn’t give a rats ass what you do. But that’s not the case. So you better get your shit together or else” he growled suddenly his voice becoming threatening his eyes never leaving hers. “Because I am not scared of you.”

Owl met his eyes defiantly. She momentarily thought of yanking her wrist from his grip, but quickly thought better of it. "I was wrong before." she said, quietly. "This world doesn't need me to interfere with its on goings. If they were worried enough, they would come. No one has come a long time." With that she let her stare drop. "Tell them to stop worrying. I've got a job to do."
The elven eyes opened slowly, blinking and taking in the situation. Moredhel's voice was in the background and and angel was near her. Pelipa let her eyes drift to the other elf as she began to understand his words. Now I don’t like you and I don’t like them and if I didn’t have to listen to it, if I didn’t have her... Even in a slight daze she recognized the head tilt to point herself out. She attempted to sit up as Owl spoke quiet enough Pelipa couldn't hear before meeting the Angel's hand on her should and a wave of dizziness in her mind. She let herself fall the half foot she had made off the ground as she rubbed her temples.
"Whoa, whoa." the angel said, watched Pelipa worriedly. "You're in no condition to stand up on your own. Grasp your surroundings first then stand up." Owl's sister looked back at the arguing couple in hopes one had finally noticed. She didn't let her gaze drift away from the Elf girl for long or even take her hand off of her shoulder as a firm reminder to stay down.

Moredhel still didn’t let go. “They did. You didn’t answer,” he snapped at her. “I am not your messenger boy. You go tell them to stop worrying. In fact why don’t you make this simpler and just freaking talk to them? You are being ridiculous.” With his other hand he forced her gaze back onto him. “I have been a lier, a deceiver all my life Owl. Don’t you dare think you can fool me. You speak one thing but really want the other. You tell yourself this is better when deep down where you will never admit it you know I’m right” he told her in a quieter voice. “You may be older than me, but I know the world too. I’ve lived with Death. It doesn’t bother me.” He watched her carefully. “So stop using that as an excuse to separate yourself from the world, because the is the lamest one I have heard yet.”

Owl, knowing the end result if she refused, met his eyes once more. "I may want the way I used to be, but death follows me." she said. "More then you. And I, unlike you, cannot handle it without changing. You cannot force that to change and you know that is the truth." She pulled her wrist away from Moredhel, but made no offer to slip behind the Gate. She glanced at her sister and sighed tiredly as she looked back at the male elf. "Go. Pelipa will live." she said.
The angel stood up slowly and took in the body language of everyone around her before helping the elven girl up to her feet. Pelipa attempted to push the angel away, which succeeded, but she lost her balance. The angel let her fall for a moment before steadying Pelipa. "Stubborn creatures. She muttered under her breath.

“Death is natural” he muttered to her his eyes unmoving “You abandon your friends” he commented. “I may be what I am, but at least I know my bounds. I may not let people close but I don’t just abandon them” his voice was cold. “ Change is fine as long as you don’t let it define you. Talk to them or they will be your charges sooner than you want them to be” he added the last part almost as a threat before turning and going over to Pelipa. “Can you walk or shall I carry you again?”

Owl said nothing. She was as still as a statue as he went to Pelipa before turning and going through the doors and closing them behind her. She closed her eyes as she locked them before walking quickly to the castle and then to a room near the top.
Pelipa looked at Moredhel as he spoke to her. "I'm not a child and my legs aren't broken." she said calmly. "I will try to walk." She had no intention to admit to being dizzy, but in doing so, he would probably either leave her alone or walk too far away for her to use him as an emergency balance. She took an unbalanced step away from the angel and toward him. "See, I got this." she said with a small smile to hid her nervousness.

The elf lost the un-confident smile. "I'm not Luna or a princess." she snapped back. She took a couple steps before stumbling. Pelipa caught herself and continued as if nothing happened. A couple more steps then she down for the count. She landed daintily and closed her eyes, letting the dizziness wave over.

Shaking his head Moredhel watched her. First it was a stumble then it was a fall. “Arwenamin” he said picking her up into his arms. He started to walk off again and thought about telling her what he thought, but didn’t knowing it would fall on death ears. Instead he moved his thoughts as to where he was going to take her.

Pelipa half glared at the dark elf. She hated this feeling of weakness in his presence. She hated feeling like she was being compared to Luna. She hated not being able to tell what this elf thought. She gave up on her pity hate and decided to relax a little. Her eyes closed and she found herself relaxing to the steadiness of his walk. His strong arms holding her... No. She needed to stop thinking like that. Where was she going? Where was her 'Rat'?
As if right on cue, the squirrel like creature jumped down from a tree onto his least favorite elf's shoulder. The creature started ranting off too fast for anyone to truly understand him. He attempted to cross his arms like an angry human as he continued his inaudible rant. Pelipa couldn't help but let out a soft laugh. How could anyone be afraid of that?
