Please note that there will be additions and changes to this so please come back and look them over every once and a while.

General Rules

 These are the General     Rules. They need to be   followed at all times,   whether you are in or   out of character.   Please  note that these   rules  may be edited or   added  to so please   check in every so   often.

01 This site is rated PG13. Please keep mature content to a minimum and be respectful of younger users. This also includes private messages.

02 Be respectful to all members and staff. If you have an issue with anyone on the site please notify an Admin and the problem will be resolved as quickly as possible.

03 This site requires one account per character you create. Every new character created needs its own account. Please only roleplay as the character you are logged in as.

04 There is no limit to how many characters you may create. However we ask that you keep them active. Being active means having logged on once a week and posted or responded to a thread.

05 If you are to be away longer than two weeks please post in the Absence board with your characters names so that the people you are roleplaying with will know which characters will be absent. This is also where you will post if you decide to leave the site. There is a grace period of one week between what I consider active and when I mark a member inactive because I understand that life happens. Just please try to tell us when you will be unavailable.

06 Please try to keep your signatures small. This makes the site look cleaner and does not stretch the boards. Also keep the graphics user friendly. PG13 max.

07 There are categories when you first make a thread: EXP Earned, Level, and Money. Please do not touch these. These are only for staff currently, however I may open it up to members at a later date

Character Profiles

 These are the   Character  Profile   Guidelines. Character   Profiles need to be   created for each   character. 

01 Each character must have a Character Profile. This must be completed and accepted by a member of staff before you begin roleplaying. The profile must be posted with the account of the character that the profile is about. You can find forms to use in the Character Forms Board and once completed should be posted in the Character Profiles Board. Accepted profiles will be moved to Accepted Bios Board.


02 Please use only the forms that have been provided. There are a few you can choose from so that you can find one that you like.

03 Please do not make any Mary or Gary Sues. These are characters that are generic and tend to be flat or boring. Most of the time this happens when you base a character off of a stereotype. Please try to have fun with your characters and be creative.

04 Please keep the majority of your characters lives balanced. Not every character can have a perfect life nor can all of them live crappy lives. Everyone's life has ups and downs so please try to reflect that.

05 If you are using a play by please post in the Face Claim thread in the Claims and More Board. Before you post your profile check that thread to make sure your play by is not already in use. If you are using an anime/ manga character please also put the book, show title and who it is by [if possible].


06 Please fill out the information as detailed as possible. The more detailed the profile the more thought you have put into the character, which not only helps us to roleplay with you but also helps you to know who you are portraying. A paragraph should be at least five sentences.

In Character Rules

 Please follow these   guidelines when   playing your   characters.

01 There is a word count of 100 words minimum per post. Please try to stick to this. A few words short is okay every once and a while but please try to do at least 100 words or more.

02 Please keep out of character comments to a minimum. The roleplaying boards are for that, roleplaying. Any conversations that you want to have can be done through PM or the Out of Character boards.

03 Do not advertise on the roleplaying boards. There is an Advertisement Board that is available to anyone who wants to advertise on this form.

04 There is no Godmodding. Godmodding is where your character is invincible and perfect. This is not natural nor is it allowed here on Midnight Stars.

05 Do not Power Play. Power Playing is taking control of another persons character without their permission and not allowing them to react. The only time this is used is during fights where the dice decides what the results of attacks are.


06 Do not Spam. Spam is less than 3 words in a post, only OOC in a post, saying something totally off subject, doing something totally off subject, a fat filled food in a can, unrealistic behavior.


07 One in game day is equal to two weeks. Please mark all threads with the day, which is monitored at the top table under season. After two weeks all threads will be locked and moved unless it is a plot thread. If you are in the middle of a thread you may pick it up in the new day. If you are traveling in the post you will have stopped for the night. You will pick up where you left off post count wise for location movement. There will be a small period for the nighttime [three days] if you wish to post then unless you get further permission from staff.

Out Character Rules

 Please follow these   guidelines when you   are out of character   and just interacting   with other players.

01 No offensive or vile materials are allowed in the Out of Character Boards. Please remember that the PG13 rating still applies here.

02 Spam and Text talk is allowed in the General Board but please keep it readable.

03 Please only advertise in the Advertisement Board. This is just to keep the site organized.

04 If you talk about books, movies, or tv shows please keep in mind not everyone may be caught up. Tell upfront if there may be spoilers.

05 Keep any graphics relatively medium size and PG13.

Disciplinary Action

 These are the   consequences for   breaking site rules.

If I or any other staff member needs to take action this is how it will be done.



Minor Offense

• 1st offense: 10% Warning

• 2nd offense: 50% Warning

• 3rd offense: 80% Warning

• 4th offense: 3-Day Ban

• 5th offense: Permanent Ban

Major Offense

• 1st offense: 50% Warning
  

• 2nd offense: 90% Warning

• 3rd offense: Permanent Ban
